Microsoft recently invested $10 billion in OpenAI, the company behind chatbot ChatGPT.
One of the key reasons for its investment is to integrate the AI platform into the ubiquitous work software Microsoft 365 with the aim of creating greater efficiency in the workplace.
According to Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella it will “fundamentally change the way we work”.
The technology being deployed by Microsoft in Office365 is not simply ChatGPT itself, however it is based on the same language-learning model. Microsoft has named the system Copilot and says it will be embedded into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It’s early days but key functions Copilot will bring include:

This is an absolute game changer! Bringing AI to some of the most commonly used work programmes in offices will change the daily lives of millions of business owners and employees around the world.
Imagine the potential use and application; not to mention the amount of time this will save your workforce:

ChatGPT is in development infancy which means it’s not 100% correct 100% of the time. Plus it won't necessarily reflect your business personality, characteristics and style, so it’s important to still have human and emotional input. But imagine the time you’ll be able to save, and utilise this in developing, growing and achieving your organisational goals!
Currently there is no confirmed release date for Microsoft Copilot with speculation it may be launched later in the year. In the meantime, we look forward to providing you with regular updates on the latest AI advancements and Microsoft’s Copilot.
